What a gift does
- $35 — a gift for one child.
- $105 — three children, roughly one family.
- $350 — a whole age band of ten.
- $400 — one day of the wellbeing table.
- $600 — one Civic Access session.
- $1,500 — one Community Voices session.
$30 a month — ten children a year, or most of a Civic Access session. Monthly giving is worth more to us than its size suggests: it arrives whether or not anyone runs a campaign.
The most useful gift
The most useful gift you can make is unrestricted. It lets us put money where the shortfall actually is — which, in a small organisation running four programmes, is never where we predicted in September.
A gift given for a programme is spent on that programme and nothing else. That is a promise we keep absolutely. It also means we cannot move it when something else runs short.
Before you give
Fondation Mir Héritage is a federal not-for-profit corporation. We are not a registered charity and we cannot issue charitable tax receipts. We are working towards registration. Until it is granted, a gift to us is a gift — not a deduction, now or retrospectively. You should know that before you give, not afterwards.
We use one email address: info@mirheritage.com
Community events in this region have been targeted by people impersonating organisers and asking for e-transfers to look-alike addresses. If a request for money reaches you from any other address, from a personal account, or with a sudden change of details — it is not us. Telephone 226-606-3428 and check before sending anything. We will never ask you to send money urgently, and we will never change our payment details by email.
How to give
- Online, one-off or monthly — through Zeffy. Zeffy charges no commission, so the full amount reaches the programme.
- Cheque — payable to Fondation Mir Héritage, 595 King Street East, Kitchener, Ontario N2G 2M2.
- Interac e-Transfer — to info@mirheritage.com.
- In kind — new, unwrapped gifts for children of any age, especially 13 to 17. Printing, interpretation, the use of a room. Please email first so we know what is coming.
- Companies — support for a named programme, matched giving, or staff volunteering on the day.
What we publish
By 31 December 2026 we will publish, on this website, programme by programme: who we reached, what we raised, what we spent and the cost per person. If the numbers disappoint, we will publish them anyway.
Four programmes. $16,700. One year.
And two hundred children waiting on the first of them, by early November.
